Born in Birmingham both of his parents are from Southern Ireland. After initially training as an actor he went on to appear in numerous television dramas, he started producing his first projects in 2004, his early work included EXPRESSO, OWN WORST EMEMY, THE MAROON JUMPER.
In 2011 Nigel teamed up with directors Ian and Dominic Higgins at Pixel Revolution Films and they have made many successful films together specializing in true life dramas, ALL THAT REMAINS, 7 DAYS - STORY OF BLIND DAVE HEELEY, OF WOLVES AND MEN.
Continuing a run of internationally recognised work, THE SHAMROCK SPITFIRE (2024) earned over 50 festival awards, including “Best Biographical Film” at the prestigious Cannes World Film Festival.
The latest projects include NAGASAKI a true life drama set against the backdrop of war and faith and the documentary I AM FLEUR, telling the amazing story of Fleur who went from near death to becoming recuse dog of the year with her work helping and supporting others

John has been a businessman and enthusiastic entrepreneur from North
Worcestershire UK who formed and ran a national IT consultancy, following twenty successful years in the world of show business, TV and theatre, with an extensive knowledge of marketing and film production. He also worked for ten years as part of Birmingham's own The Rockin' Berries Group.
The Pixel Revolution Productions team, which he is now proud to be part of, has a history of mostly making films about real people and events, which he wholeheartedly supports. He believes the team within Pixel is a unique combination of talents that encompass the whole spectrum of film making from story conception and production using the latest emerging technologies, to marketing and financial management.
Like all the other team members, John has a range of skills and experience which perfectly binds with the other members’ varying talents and vision for the company


In 2003, brothers Ian and Dominic Higgins founded their own production company, Pixel Revolution Films. The company’s first film, the experimental animated short THE WOLF WHO CAME IN FROM THE COLD, won several “Best Animation” awards on the festival circuit. Its success led to their first commissioned feature project, THE 13th DAY.
In 2011, they began a long-term collaboration with producer Nigel Martin Davey on the ambitious feature film ALL THAT REMAINS. This was followed by 7 DAYS: THE STORY OF BLIND DAVE HEELEY, which earned multiple awards and widespread critical acclaim and the animated short, OF WOLVES AND MEN.
Their next feature, THE SHAMROCK SPITFIRE (2024), garnered over 50 international festival awards, including “Best Biographical Film” at the prestigious Cannes World Film Festival.
Their latest projects include NAGASAKI, a true-life drama set against the backdrop of war and faith, and the documentary I AM FLEUR, telling the remarkable story of a rescue dog who went from near death to becoming Rescue Dog of the Year through her work supporting others.
